Substitute for milk
I am 47 years and my weight is 35 kg. I have been drinking half a litre milk from long time. These days I feel it is creating problems. So I want to stop it. But I am scared of osteoporosis as my Mom has it. Also I am weak and looks like my kidney can't process proteins. I am also getting calcium stones due to uric acid. I am having thyroid too and suffer from constipation. Looks like my gut has problem so lot of food sensitivity issues Please suggest milk substitute.

Hi, Your ideal body weight is 45kg. Drinking half a liter milk is not a great idea to prevent yourself from osteoporosis. Having high protein diet indeed is a reason of your high uric acid levels. You can consider having 150 ml of milk/soya milk/ almond milk. Have other sources of calcium like milk products, leafy vegetables, fortified cereal and orange juice. Consulting a experienced dietitian can help you target your multiple problems. www.allaboutdiets.in

35 kg is undoubtedly very less Pls let's us know your height too What are your eating habits. Pls do not jump to any conclusions on your self. First get a blood test done-renal test too What made you think that your kidneys can't process protein.... Pls consult a doctors and hire a personal dietician for yourself.
