Hello,It sounds like you're feeling a lot of disappointment and confusion right now. That's completely understandable to feel that way after such a long relationship. Marriage is a big step, and it's natural to want to be on the same page with your partner. Have you spoken about why your girlfriend might be hesitant about marriage? Sometimes, people have different reasons for wanting or not wanting to get married. Open communication is key in any relationship. Perhaps couples therapy could be a good option to explore these issues together and find a solution that works for both of you.

Hi, It is understandable that you are feeling overwhelmed with stress and anxiety, especially after being in a long-term relationship and now facing such a sudden change. It is important to remember that feelings of heartbreak and sadness are normal after a breakup, and it is okay to grieve the loss of the relationship. One way to start overcoming this situation is to focus on taking care of yourself both mentally and physically. It may be helpful to seek support from friends, family, or a therapist who can provide emotional support and guidance during this difficult time. Engaging in activities that bring you joy and relaxation can also help to distract you from negative thoughts and feelings. Additionally, practicing self-care techniques such as mindfulness, exercise, and healthy eating can help to improve your overall well-being and reduce feelings of anxiety. Remember that healing takes time, and it is okay to not be okay right now. Be patient with yourself and allow yourself to feel and process your emotions. It may also be beneficial to consider the possibility of seeking professional help if your anxiety and stress are affecting your daily life significantly. A therapist or counselor can provide you with coping strategies and techniques to help you navigate this challenging time. Keep reaching out for support and taking small steps towards healing, and eventually, you will start to feel more at peace with the situation. Stay strong, and know that you are deserving of love and happiness in the future.

Experiencing a sudden change in a long term relationship can be extremely distressing. It's important to remember that it’s okay to seek help and that with time and support, you can overcome this difficult period.
Next Steps
Here are some steps to help you cope with this situation: 1. Acknowledge Your Emotions - Allow yourself to feel and express your emotions. It's natural to feel sadness, anger, confusion, and anxiety during this time. Bottling up your feelings can make things worse. 2. Build a Support System - Reach out to friends and family. Share your feelings and let them support you during this difficult time. - Sometimes, just talking about what you're going through can provide some relief and new perspectives. 3. Take Care of Your Physical Health - Ensure you are eating well, staying hydrated, and getting enough sleep. Physical health is closely tied to mental health. - Engage in regular physical activity. Exercise can be a great way to relieve stress and improve your mood. 4. Practice Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques - Techniques such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, or yoga can help reduce stress and anxiety. - Consider using apps or online resources to guide you through these practices. 5. Limit Negative Thoughts - When negative thoughts arise, try to challenge them. Ask yourself if they are based on facts or assumptions. - Focus on positive aspects of your life and things you are grateful for, even if they seem small. 6. Set Small, Achievable Goals - Focus on accomplishing small tasks each day. This can help you regain a sense of control and normalcy. - Break down larger tasks into smaller, manageable steps to avoid feeling overwhelmed. 7. Engage in Activities You Enjoy - Distraction can be a powerful tool. Engage in hobbies or activities that you enjoy and that can help take your mind off the situation. - Whether it's reading, watching movies, spending time outdoors, or practicing a hobby, find activities that bring you some joy. 8. Avoid Making Major Decisions - Avoid making any major life decisions until you feel more emotionally stable. Give yourself time to process and heal. 9. Consider Writing a Letter - Sometimes, writing a letter to your ex-partner (whether you send it or not) can help you articulate your feelings and gain some closure. - Expressing your thoughts in writing can be a therapeutic process. 10. Reflect on the Future - While it may be hard to think about the future right now, try to remember that time can bring healing. Focus on taking things one day at a time. Remember, healing from a breakup, especially after a long-term relationship, takes time. Be kind to yourself during this process and know that it's okay to seek help and support.
