Based on what you’ve provided, it sounds like you’re experiencing symptoms of social anxiety disorder (also known as social phobia), which is characterized by intense fear of social situations due to concerns about being judged, embarrassed, or humiliation.
Next Steps
Here’s what you can do to address and manage this:
1. Seek Professional Help
• Psychologist or Psychiatrist: A mental health professional can formally diagnose and help you through therapy or medications if needed.
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): This is the most effective treatment for social anxiety. It helps you challenge negative thoughts and gradually face social situations with less fear.
2. Medication (if needed)
• You are currently on Losartan (for blood pressure), but no psychiatric diagnosis or treatment is mentioned.
• A psychiatrist may consider SSRIs or beta-blockers for situational anxiety, depending on your condition.
3. Lifestyle and Self-Help Strategies
• Gradual exposure: Slowly expose yourself to feared situations rather than avoiding them completely.
• Mindfulness & Relaxation Techniques: Practices like deep breathing, meditation, or yoga can help reduce physical symptoms of anxiety.
• Journaling: Write about your experiences, thoughts, and feelings. It helps you identify patterns and triggers.
4. Support Groups
• Joining support groups (online or in-person) where people share similar experiences can reduce feelings of isolation.
