Yes, working from home can sometimes contribute to social anxiety, especially when you have fewer opportunities for regular face-to-face interaction. When we spend a long time avoiding social situations, our comfort zone can gradually become smaller, and returning to social situations may feel more difficult. But if your social anxiety has returned after completing an SSRI, I wouldn’t assume that WFH is the only reason. Anxiety can return for several reasons, and it’s worth discussing the change with your psychiatrist rather than restarting or stopping medication on your own. From a therapy perspective, the goal is to gradually rebuild social confidence through small, planned exposures rather than waiting for the anxiety to disappear first. CBT can be particularly helpful for identifying anxious thoughts, reducing avoidance and rebuilding confidence in social situations. And remember—feeling anxious again doesn’t mean you’re back to square one. It means there’s an opportunity to work on the pattern again. If you’d like professional support, you can reach me at nine two six six seven two six zero six five.

It's the loop where you get stuck again and again. In cases of of social anxiety not just SSRI ( which target serotonin ) , but , you need something to balance out norepinephrine too. SNRIs (which target both serotonin and norepinephrine) , help better, along with relaxation tecniques and breathing exercises.
Next Steps
Consult a psychiatrist to know about your condition and get proper pharmacological and psychological treatment.
