Sleeplessness
Hello Doctors, I am a 27 year old female. I had been diagnosed with adjustment disorder with anxious mood. Although my doctor said its not permanent , just related to lockdown and is covid induced. He has prescribed me Depsival Forte , Axepine 50 mg and Druthip 75 mg. Now that i started feeling better , i abruptly stopped taking medicines. And now i am unable to sleep at night. Should i go for tapering medicines as doctor says or is it a long term sleeplessness?? Is it the cause of concern??

You should not stop antidepressants all of a sudden. It is recommended that you continue them for 6 months after complete remission, and then taper it down slowly one by one and then stop. If you stop them suddenly, you can experience antidepressant withdrawal, which itself causes sleeplessness and other kinds of discomfort.
Next Steps
Consult a psychiatrist who can guide you regarding the medication.
