Hello, Your difficulty seems to have two parts: urinary issues (overactive bladder/UTI) and sleep disturbance. Sometimes, persistent urinary frequency itself can disturb sleep, and in turn, poor sleep increases anxiety and makes it harder to rest naturally. Sleeping pills like Ativan or Zolfresh give only temporary relief and may cause dependence if continued. The goal should be to treat the underlying bladder condition and gradually restore your natural sleep.
Next Steps
- Please follow up with a urologist/gynecologist to ensure your UTI has completely resolved and that your current medication (Soliten) is at the right dose. - Consult a psychiatrist/sleep specialist to help you safely reduce sleeping pills and learn non-drug strategies to restore natural sleep. They may suggest short-term safer alternatives or tapering schedules. Health Tips
a. Avoid continuing sleeping pills on your own, as sudden stoppage or irregular use may worsen insomnia. b. Practice good sleep hygiene: fixed bedtime/wake time, avoid screens/caffeine at night, keep the bedroom dark/quiet. c. Limit fluids a few hours before sleep to reduce nighttime urination. d. Seek relaxation techniques (deep breathing, guided meditation) which can help reduce the need for medications. Since you are already having difficulty sleeping without medicines, it is important not to delay professional help.

Hi, I understand your pain, Sleeplessness after UTI and pill use is your min, body is stuck in a cycle: bladder discomfort → worry → pills → dependence → more worry. Gentle steps to reclaim sleep 1. Fix a calm routine same sleep/wake time daily. 2. No screens, caffeine, or heavy fluids close to night. 3. Try relaxation rituals warm shower, breathing, soft dua or journaling. 4. Train body: lie in bed only when sleepy, not for scrolling or worry. 5. If awake too long, get up, do something calming, return only when drowsy.
Next Steps
Gradually taper pills, not stop suddenly. Build consistent bedtime routine. Practice relaxation skills daily. Limit bladder anxiety empty, then trust. Seek therapist/doctor support for guided taper + sleep retraining. Step by step, your body will relearn rest
Health Tips
Drink more water in day, less near night. Light meals, avoid late caffeine/spicy food. Stretch or walk to relax muscles. Quiet mind with journaling, prayer, or breath work. Keep bedroom dark, cool, screen-free. Your body heals best in calm routines

Describe your sleep problem. Do you have difficulty falling asleep or you can get to sleep and then wake up again. If yes which part of the night do you wake up ? Have you done your blood sugar level ? How much tea or coffee intake do you have per day ?
