First off - don't sleep in the afternoon no matter how tired you feel. Your body cycles through periods of sleep and wakefulness and if you're going to be sleeping through the day, your nighttime will get affected. Do not take any naps - take light meals before bed - keep a set time for sleeping and for waking up - and don't stress much if you find yourself unable to fall asleep.
If sleep issues persist then yes, get a detailed evaluation.
Might require more history to suggest personalised recommendations for you. There can be many reasons other than coffee like scrolling phone, not getting tired enough physically, worries related to something going on in your life currently. Unless we don't know what is the stressor we won't be able to tell what to do.
The solution can be as simple as following a good sleep hygiene, but depending on the severity and dysfunctionality the problems are causing we might have to take a call on whether medication is needed or not.
Next Steps
you can have a consultation with psychiatrist for further clarification. I give online consultations and therapy.
Kindly visit a psychiatrist for a more comprehensive evaluation and investigations to understand the root cause, it looks like sleep wake cycle disturbance and can be managed well with Sleep hygiene techniques and/or short term medications to regularise the cycle
