I am a 40 year old female. Working as a professor in a college. I have one kid. Recently for the past 10 days, i constantly wake up at night randomly at 1 am - 3 am and feel difficult to get back to sleep. I got to bed by 9 pm and slept instantly. But in between I wake up and not sleep back which is making me feel tired for the rest of the day. Pls advise any medicine or test that should be taken. Vit D and B12 are within normal range.

Dear Practo User.
Thanks for sending across your query.
Waking up at night can be linked to stress, hormone changes, or early sleep disorders. Since Vitamin D and B12 are normal, we can recommend some test . Early diagnosis helps restore restful sleep.
Next Steps
It would be better is you come for an online consultation on Practo.
Hi..Waking up in the middle of the night can be due to stress, anxiety, or disturbed sleep routine. Please avoid screen use and caffeine after evening, maintain a regular sleep schedule, and try relaxation methods like deep breathing or reading a book before bed. Keep the bedroom cool and quiet. If this continues beyond 2 weeks, a clinical consultation may help rule out any underlying cause like stress or hormonal changes.
