How long do you have this Shoulder pain? Whether the onset of pain was gradual or sudden?

First of all throw some light on pain onset . Is there any particular sudden activity which started the pain ? Also need to recognise the exact location of pain on your upper shoulders . Video consultation to rule out frozen shoulder, rotator cuff syndrome , trapezitis referred pain or any other strain or injury.

I would suggest you to apply an ice cube pack on that for 7.5 minutes thrice a day. This would help to ease off the pain around that area.

There can be different reasons for pain. Need proper history and also need to do proper assessment of the cause. Use pain'relieving gel like volini gel or diclofenac gel or ointment. Use hot water bag three times a day 10 min-15min. Do shoulder strengthening exercises. Shoulder Stretching. Neck isometric exercises. Neck stretching. Check for your posture issue as well.

However with the limited history... - start icing 3 times a day (wrap an icepack in a towel) for 15 minutes. Get a physiotherapy consultation.
