This seems to be due to thoracic stiffness coupled with shoulder weakness. its mainly due to bad posture and the resulting muscle imbalance. you need to practice postural correction exercises, scapular strengthening and thoracic mobility exercises
Next Steps
consult a physiotherapist
Health Tips
do not take passive machine therapy, change your computer position and in addition to exercises also modify ergonomics at work
I think you should visit a Physiotherapist for posture correction exercises and correct posture advice. Also u can hot water fermentation for pain relief but for permanent relief you need to do exercises.
Scapula(Sh blade) is the only bone in the body which forms a joint on one side and other side is resting on the rib cage and held by various muscles. Occasionally Bez of weakness in the rotator cuff muscles and poor posture, people experience pain as u hv described..
I suggest start rotator cuff muscle strengthening exercises..
Next Steps
See a experienced Physiotherapist
Health Tips
Increase the distance between Shoulder joint and ears by lowering Ur Shoulders and pull Ur sh blade behind..
It is good that you are taking breaks in between the work. But maybe further postural awareness is required. Also, the ergonomical assessment of your workplace will also give an idea about what exactly is the problem. I will suggest you to meet me or any physiotherapist who can do a proper evaluation and find the exact cause. Postural re education, upper back mobility and strengthening are few things I will suggest.
Next Steps
get a good postural evaluation done by a physiotherapist
Meet your physiotherapist and set an appointment.
Go for pain relieving modalities first and after 30% of improvement in pain, start strengthning exercises of shoulder and scapular muscles, so that u dont over injure the area by starting with the exercises on the first day.
