Repeatedly apply ice pack extraorally over the swelling. Keeping in mind tht you do not catch cold at the same time. For first 48 hours soft or liquid diet.do not use the affected side while chewing. Do brush teeth with tooth brush and paste without disturbing the extraction site.

It must be a surgical procedure which led to swelling after the extraction. Don't worry , it's completely normal but it will take time to subside. Till then... Take rest Avoid spicy or hard food. Take soft diet. Don't apply any cloths / other means over the affected area. Keep your mouth clean and after one day of surgery,  you can go for warm saline rinses 2 times a day. Betadine rinses may also help.
Next Steps
After 1 week , go to your dentist for examination of the extraction socket.
Health Tips
The dentist must have guided you with all the info. Also , ask the dentist for all the precautionary methods after the procedures everytime. Take full information for guidance.
