Pain and mild swelling around a lower wisdom tooth is commonly due to infection or food lodgement (pericoronitis). You may continue Rexidin gel for 2–3 days, but it gives only temporary relief. If pain or swelling persists, a clinical examination and X-ray are required. Treatment may include cleaning, medicines, or wisdom tooth removal if the problem is recurrent. Turnaround time: With proper treatment, pain usually reduces within 3–5 days.
Next Steps
If swelling increases, difficulty in mouth opening, or fever occurs, see a dentist immediately.
Health Tips
Do warm saline rinses.

I my opinion , you can try gargles with warm water 2-3 times daily , is the pain and swelling still persist , it's better to go to the dentist and have an IOPA ( x ray ) , if the tooth is in condition to be saved them it's fine , otherwise extraction is the best option for this condition.
Next Steps
warm gargles first of all (2-3 times daily) visit a dentist .
Health Tips
don't apple any medication outside or inside of the mouth like balm , vicks, etc .

Rexidine gel won't help in tooth pain. You may visit a dentist and get it checked weather the pain is due to impacted tooth or caries . In both the cases teeth needs to be extracted.

Pain in the wisdom tooth arises either due to decay or infection in the gum around the tooth if tooth is not completely erupted in the mouth. Treatment includes X-ray examination and extraction or surgical removal of tooth depending upon its location.

It’s better to take an X ray-OPG..It will give clear picture why it’s hurting .. And if any treatment is required or just medicines will be enough ..
