Severe right upper back pain
My mother age 46 is having from 2 years severe pain in upper back right side (below neck).. We consulted BPT doctor.. Advised standing position whole spine xray and cervical spine and dorsal spine xray and also usg abdomen Reports are normal Now what how to know what is the issue? Which doctor? Which medicine?

Hello It can be due to the bad posture which leads to tightness in the muscles connecting the thoracic spine, shoulder blade and neck . She has to do neck stretches , cervical isometrics , scapular stability exercises and upper limb strengthening .

If there is radiculopathy in the arm also consult a spine specialist or a Neurophysician for thorough assessment

Follow ergonomic advices if working , Take breaks at 45 min , do gentle shoulder shrugs and rotations, keep screen at eye level , use proper chair and table to work .

It is due to the wrong posture which becomes rigid with time. She only have to do right Exercises for her neck shoulders and spine. Do Gradual Extension Exercises for it. Avoid Using Thick Pillow, Sit and Stand Straight.
