Root canal crown came off
My root canal crown has come off. There's no pain or sensitivity on the exposed tooth yet. But I'm not comfortable going to a dentist during this current covid surge, especially as I have a 8 month old baby. What can I do at home to fix this issue?

The crown cannot be fixed on your own. You will have to visit a dentist for properly contoured well adapted crown. Please do visit a dentist earliest as possible. Delaying will lead to supra eruption, mobility or fracture of the tooth and hamper crown cementation later. However for the time, maintain proper oral hygiene, avoid chewing hard food from that tooth and use a mouthwash.

Only crown comes out not root canal. Either get it fixed immediately .If not possible then don't eat from that side and get a new crown later .

Hi... the crown can be refixed only by the dentist not by urselves. It has to refixed immediately once it is removed. If u delay,it will not fit on to the prepared tooth. Then a new crown has to be done.I could understand ur situation.Visit the clinic with full precautionary measures and get the treatment done safely.

Hi, You will not have any pain and sensitivity on the tooth as the rootcan treatment is done .However it is advisable to get the crown recemented at a dentist , the earlier the better. Leaving the tooth without a crown for a long time risks supraeruption or movement of the tooth which can make later cementation difficult.

You cannot actually fix a crown at home. If you don't put the crown back ASAP and keep the tooth like that for so long, there are chances for that tooth to fracture or for that crown to get fixing issues on the tooth properly.
