Severe infection in oral cavity can cause fever. But that resolves when medicines are given after the treatment is initiated. Make sure to take the medicines on time.
Is your son undergoing any antibiotics or painkillers, is RCT procedure completed ? RCT do not cause fever but if there is severe infection it can cause raise in temp .
Hi,
A Root Canal treatment does not cause fever. The fever could be due to the infection. There is nothing to worry. The fever will subside in a day. Is your son taking antibiotics ?
Hello, A fever is a clear sign that your body is trying to fight an infection. Generally root canal doesn't cause fever but sometimes if there is an infection for which the root canal has been done can cause fever. You can visit the dentist you had done the root canal at and get it checked and He/She can prescribe you medication for the treatment of infection if it is causes by any tooth related infection.
The infection and response to the procedure could have resulted in mild fever. The treating doctor might have prescribed medicines also, please follow the schedule. Nothing to worry, this will subside.
