Red cell width, also known as red cell distribution width (RDW), is a measure used in blood tests to assess the variation in size of red blood cells. It can provide valuable information about various health conditions, including anemia, nutritional deficiencies, and chronic diseases. Elevated RDW levels might indicate an underlying health issue that requires further investigation. However, it's important to note that RDW is just one of many factors considered in a comprehensive blood analysis, and its significance can vary depending on the specific medical context. The absolute eosinophil count is a measurement of the number of eosinophils, a type of white blood cell, in a blood sample. Eosinophils play a role in the immune response, particularly in allergic reactions and parasitic infections. Monitoring the absolute eosinophil count can help doctors diagnose and manage certain conditions, such as allergies, asthma, autoimmune diseases, and parasitic infections. Elevated eosinophil counts can indicate an allergic response or the presence of an underlying medical issue.

Please share the full cbc.increased rdw could be due to deficiency in iron, folic acid or b12. Low basophil count is usually not a cause for concern.however needs to be clinically correlated.
