Echogenic sludge doesn't require surgery .....It has chances of conversion to calculi(stone).... so avoid fatty food,fastings and have regular food habits......Get ultrasound abdomen scan done after 4 weeks on empty stomach.....Hope your mother has no abdominal complaints
