Looking at the history given by you and assuming that you are unable to seek medical care due to corona virus lock down I am giving my opinion. The pain which your mother  is having can be due to  arthritis. She needs to get examined by an orthopaedic surgeon and get an X-ray and blood investigations.
Next Steps
Blood investigations that need to be done are CBC, RA, CRP, Serum vit D, serum creatinine, liver function test Review these reports with an orthopaedic surgeon or consult me with reports directly on Practo
Health Tips
She should avoid siting on floor or sitting cross legged , use comode or western style commode chair . Hot fomentation is good and relieves pain to a great extent. Before starting any medication she should be thoroughly investigated looking at her age

Hi, When you say she has difficulty in standing and sitting, the problem is in the knee. Probably due to age related degenerative changes. The treatment differs depending on the amount of damage and the amount of pain she experiences. Solution - rest, quadriceps exercises, hot fomentation and mild analgesics like dolo 650.
Next Steps
if it persists the treatment plan needs to be more specific. you can contact me for further assistance.
