Regarding blood sygar
My father age is 59, whenever he test for HbA1c it is under normal limit of 5.8%. But when he test FBS and PPBS sometime both come normal and sometime it comes above normal.MAXIMUM FBS- 132 MG/DL AND PPBS - 181 MG/DL Today also checked after a lunch waited for 2 hours and then tested in Accuchek Sugar Testing machine. Today it came 181 mg/Dl. What can be the cause for this, HbA1c is normal but FBS and PPBS sometime derange from normal range. Is he is diabetic or pre diabetic?

These things matter when occurs in regular monitoring. Monitor FBS and PPBS regularly for 7 days daily then can be inferred. One or two reading here and there isn't conclusive of anything.

Most likely prediabetic. Further information required, longer testing with sugars and hba1c can be repeated in 6-8 weeks.
