The flow of menstrual cycle depends on the surface area and thickness of endometrial lining . Sometimes we relate it to the reproductive reserve which can be measured if needed by some indirect markers .
A reduction in menstrual flow or duration can be normal in some women, especially if your cycles are still regular (every 21–35 days).
Stress, weight gain ?

The only pathological reason for less flow during period is hypothyroidism
get your thyroid levels checked
Also make sure that you are BMI is in the healthy range
If your thyroid levels are normal and your BMI is in the normal range then the reduction in flow during your periods is not a matter of concern and cannot be treated
