Query about STD panel testing
Hi All. my query is does taking supplements like NAC or Herbal Medicines (Arjuna etc.) or Whey Protein etc affects STD panel testing like HIV 1/2, TPHA, VDRL, HCV, HbsAg, HSV,  Gonnorhea, Chlamydia Urine pcr. I am taking them as a preventive health checkup and last sexual exposure was 6 months ago.

None of those supplements interfere with STD panel results. HIV, syphilis, hepatitis and herpes tests look for antibodies or the virus itself, and the urine PCR detects bacterial DNA. Whey protein and herbal products do not change any of that.
