Protein Intake
I am a 21 years old Male. I am trying to loose weight and increase my protein intake and I am an vegetarian so I can't eat non-vegetarian protein rich food and dry fruits (because they are high in calories). I am also trying to gain some strength by going to gym but I am not trying bulk up too much. So I want to know whether whey protein from some companies like MyProtein, GNC, MuscleBlaze are harmless or not. I don't have any kidney/ liver/ heart related problems but I am overweight with 25 BMI and my body fat percentage is average, if this info helps.

First of all, there are many ways to reduce weight. Your BMI is slightly high so you can reduce it by doing some exercise ( brisk walking) and diet restrictions. Though if you want to take whey protein then you can but please make sure your output in the form of exercise should be higher than input of taking artificial Protein means you have to do more excercise if you're taking artificial protein otherwise it will start accumulating in your body and can harm you. In a nutshell,  You can take whey protein if you can burn your calories wisely. For further information please contact me in chat at practo. Thank you!

Protein is required by body to build muscle. When you workout you breakdown muscle and rebuild it. Your regular diet be it vegetarian has enough protein for you to build muscle. As for weight loss. Be consistent with exercise for 6 months, avoid eating fast food or junk food. And you ll not require any protein supplements. Protein supplements are advisable for athletes who have hit a threshold with their daily dietary intake.
