If you've had a root canal treatment (RCT) that is causing ongoing swelling and the X-ray shows an improperly done root canal with a broken file, it's important to address this situation promptly. Here are a few steps you might consider: Consult Your Dentist: If you're experiencing swelling and discomfort after an RCT, it's crucial to contact your dentist or endodontist as soon as possible. They can assess the situation and determine the appropriate course of action. Follow Professional Advice: Your dentist will likely recommend the best course of action based on the specific circumstances. This might involve re-treatment of the root canal, removal of the broken file, or other appropriate measures. Possible Treatment Options: Depending on the extent of the issue, your dentist might recommend re-treatment of the root canal to address the infection and ensure that the canal is properly cleaned and sealed. In some cases, the broken file may need to be carefully removed to prevent further complications. Antibiotics: If there is an infection present, your dentist may prescribe antibiotics to help control the infection and reduce swelling. Follow their instructions closely and complete the full course of antibiotics if prescribed. Seek a Second Opinion: If you have concerns about the treatment plan or if you're unsure about the recommended course of action, you might consider seeking a second opinion from another experienced dentist or endodontist. Follow Post-Treatment Instructions: If you undergo any additional procedures, make sure to follow your dentist's post-treatment instructions carefully to aid in proper healing. Remember, only a qualified dentist or endodontist can provide you with personalized advice and treatment recommendations based on your specific situation. If you're experiencing ongoing swelling and discomfort, it's important to seek professional dental care to address the issue and prevent potential complications.

X ray is not complete(till root apex). Do visit a local Endodontist for physical evaluation, x ray and treatment (as required). You may need Re-RCT(As per your symptoms).
