Hi It is very important to remain fit after delivery But pls do not diet now as baby needs nutrition as u must be feeding the baby. Lactation itself is a way in which the body starts shrinking to come back to weight before pregnancy. What should be borne in mind is there is an age old saying, ‘ Eat for two when u r pregnant or lactating’ U need to definitely eat more what is important is do not eat heavy meals with too much fried stuff, buttery foods eat normally adding in more green leafy vegs and fruits and have 2 to 3 serving of milk products like milk, curd, cheese or paneer. Mild exercise starting off with 15 to 20 mins of walk and slowly increasing it 40 to 45 mins by the end of 4 months. Take care. Happy parenting

Healthy evening ma’am, Not only is dieting not required for weight loss diets often reduce the amount of important nutrients, vitamin and minerals your getting. That can affect your postpartum recovery and energy level as well as the quantity and quality of your breast feed. As just proper nutrition is important during pregnancy, it’s important after, too. Instead of dieting, focusing on healthy eating and portion control. Few tips are: 1. Set realistic weight loss goals. 2. Eat well balanced meals. 3. Portion control. 4.Make time for exercise- but ease into it. 5. Don’t forget about self-care.
