Nothing to worry tell her to do mouth opening excercise if persistent pain os there ask her not to touch the area of extraction with tongue ,if she has taken the medication properly or not and if she has followed post extraction instruction 

salt water gargle or wash she have to do 2-3 times if not going after that then visit that dentist

Ask your mother to practice mouth opening exercise even if it is painful. Better would be to go back to the dentist and learn.
