Pain in right butt cheek
Hi From past couple of days I'm feeling pain in my right butt cheek when bending behind. No problem in bending front or walking sitting getting up. I experienced this next day post heavy lifting. I've been using Dr Ortho oil since few days and pain is less as compared to initial days. What could be the scenario? Is this related to sciatica. i googled it a bit.

It could be muscle strain. You should give hot water fomentation for 15-20 twice a day. You can use Volini gel or spray provided you are not allergic. You should do proper warm up and cool down exercises. You should avoid bending forward while lifting weights instead you should keep your knee softly (slight bending) while lifting heavy weights.

Hello, Do you have any tingling sensation in the leg If yes then it can be sciatica. But if no then it must be muscle strain.
Next Steps
If it is a point pain then take ice pack Or else you can do contrast therapy that is 5 minutes hot pack start with hot. Then 5 minutes cold . Repeat this procedure for 4 times that is 20 minutes of the treatment.
Health Tips
Also you can do piriformis stretching Lie down on your back with knee in position Cross your right leg on the left knee & pull your left knee towards your chest. But do it once your pain subsides.

This could be disc prolapse as it followed an episode of weight lifting. Sciatica is a generalised term like fever. I would suggest avoiding lifting weights, bending forward and some bed rest. If things are not resolving, I need to examine you.

Sciatica is less likely as the extent of pain and the movement pattern is not suggestive of that, although the origin of pain can be from the -Disc (annular tear) -Facet joint -Quadratus lumborum Muscle -SI joint strain. Detailed history and movement examination can help to narrow down to a working diagnosis.
Next Steps
consult a professional for further help, avoid self medicating using the internet as it may be misleading.
