Pain in molar
Can I be in pain for something (hard food) struck in the gaps of my lower molar? I tried removing it but i think it got struck somewhere beneath my molar and now its too achy for 3-4 days!!! HELP

Yes food impaction can cause pain If you are not able to remove it on your own then visit a dentist

Hi.. There must be something stuck in between the teeth and the gums that is the reason why you have pain in that region.
Next Steps
Visit a periodontist and get deep cleaning if possible curettage done in that area, by doing so you will be free of pain and can avoid infection. After cleaning mouthwash for few days is advisable.

Don't delay because the food which got stuck in that region might turn into pus and infection.

Visit a dentist for professional cleaning between your tooth. .. Dental flossing n salt water gargling can also help u. For every six months ,go for professional cleaning that makes ur gums normal without any food lodgement.

Use Water flosser.If anything is stuck it will be removed by water flosser. If still there is pain there might be decay in between your teeth.

Hi, You need to meet the dentist to evaluate and remove the stuck food particle. Food stuck can cause pain and swelling of the gums.

Maintain oral hygiene. Warm saline rinses thrice a day. Use Dental floss and Interdental brush. Visit a local dentist for physical evaluation and treatment (if required).
