Pain in head
Parts of my head hurts when I slightly press or massage my head. It hurts for a while once I press it lightly. It happens in parietal bone area of my head. But this pain is not constant, sometimes its severe and sometimes it doesn't hurt at all. Could this be due to stress or any vitamin deficiencies or any other reason?

Please consult a General Physician in your area for a physical examination. The Doctors on Tele-consultation have a handicap that they don't get an opportunity to examine the patient. If the history and symptoms are vague (like in your case) , it becomes difficult to give a logical answer.

Headaches can be caused by stress, as well as underlying vitamin deficiencies, particularly magnesium, vitamin B2, and coenzyme Q10, which play crucial roles in maintaining healthy blood vessels and nerve function.

I don't want to confuse you further by suggesting too many things. Also, the description you provided us is rather incomplete. How long have you had this? Does your headache increase when you bow down or move your head? Two of the most common causes for sudden onset headaches are hypertension and sinusitis. Considering your age, hypertension ( high BP) may be ruled out. ( But, to rule it out absolutely, you will need to check your BP) Coming to sinusitis, which is a probable diagnosis ( considering your age), and also you mention that your headache increases when you touch it. Bone tenderness is a sign of sinusitus. You would need to answer a few more questions. Do you have a cold, runny nose? Do you often go out in the cold with wet hair?
Next Steps
Take paracetamol 650. Avoid going out in the cold with wet hair. Need further evaluation to prescribe medications. Kindly consult.

I’m sorry to hear about the discomfort you’re experiencing. There are several potential reasons for the pain in your parietal bone area: Stress and Tension: Stress can lead to tension headaches, which might cause pain in specific areas of your head, including the parietal region. These headaches often feel like a tight band around your head and can be triggered by stress, anxiety, or poor posture. Vitamin Deficiencies: Certain nutrient deficiencies, such as Vitamin D and B vitamins, can contribute to headaches and musculoskeletal pain. For example, Vitamin D deficiency is linked to chronic pain and fatigue, while B vitamins are crucial for nerve health12. Nummular Headache: This is a rare type of headache that causes pain in a small, coin-shaped area of the scalp, often in the parietal region. The pain can be intermittent and vary in intensity3. Other Causes: There could be other reasons, such as sinus issues, migraines, or even minor injuries that might cause localized pain. Given the variability and nature of your symptoms, it might be helpful to keep a headache diary to track when the pain occurs, its intensity, and any potential triggers. This information can be valuable for your healthcare provider in diagnosing and treating the issue. If the pain persists or worsens, I recommend consulting with a healthcare professional for a thorough evaluation. They can provide a more accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan. Is there anything else you’d like to discuss or any other symptoms you’re experiencing?
