Hello Doctor,
I would like to consult you because I’ve noticed a significant change in my mental health over the past few weeks/months. My mind is constantly filled with negative thoughts, and I overthink almost everything, even small situations. It feels like there are multiple streams of thoughts in my mind that keep arguing with each other, making me doubt myself and think negatively. This has become mentally exhausting and is affecting my daily life, concentration, and emotional well-being.
I’ve also noticed changes in my behavior, and it’s started affecting my relationship with my girlfriend. She has been understanding, but she feels that if this continues, we may slowly drift apart. I don’t want my mental state to keep affecting the people I care about.
I’m seeking professional help because I want to understand what’s happening, receive a proper assessment, and learn how to manage these thoughts and emotions in a healthy way. Thank you.

I look forward to working with you and supporting you throughout this journey.
Your symptoms suggest that you are experiencing significant emotional distress, with persistent overthinking and negative thoughts affecting your daily life, relationships, and concentration. While it’s not possible to make a diagnosis based on a message alone, these concerns deserve a proper psychological assessment so the underlying cause can be understood and treated early.
Next Steps
I recommend booking a consultation with me so we can assess your concerns in detail, identify what is contributing to these thoughts, and develop a personalized treatment plan. With the right support and therapy, these symptoms can improve significantly, and you don’t have to manage them alone.
As per your present emotional state i may need a lot of other details.
Without having a proper knowledge about your condition I can't help you properly.
Hi, thank you for sharing your concern. It must be emotionally exhausting to experience constant negative thoughts, overthinking, self-doubt, and changes in your behaviour. From what you have shared, these thoughts seem to be affecting your daily life, concentration, emotional well-being, and your relationship. It is a positive step that you have recognized these changes and are seeking professional help. I would suggest consulting a counselling psychologist trained in CBT for a detailed assessment. Therapy can help you understand the underlying reasons for these thoughts, manage overthinking, develop healthier coping strategies, and improve your emotional well-being. You don’t have to handle this alone. Take one step at a time. Take care.

Hi, thank you for sharing this. It sounds like your mind has been under a lot of pressure for some time. When overthinking becomes constant, it starts creating doubt, fear, and negative interpretations of almost everything, which can naturally affect your mood, focus, and even your relationships. The good news is that this pattern can be worked on with the right therapy. We’ll first understand why your mind has entered this cycle and then gradually help you break it using practical techniques, so you feel more in control of your thoughts instead of being controlled by them.

Hi,
What you are experiencingârelentless overthinking, conflicting internal thoughts, and emotional exhaustionâis a common response to heightened anxiety, stress, or mental burnout. This constant internal noise creates cognitive overload, making it difficult to concentrate and stay emotionally present with your girlfriend. Seeking professional help from a psychologist or psychiatrist is the best decision you can make; they can properly assess your symptoms and teach you structured techniques (like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to reframe negative thoughts and restore your peace of mind.
Thank you for sharing your experience so openly. It sounds like youâve been under considerable emotional distress. The persistent negative thoughts, excessive overthinking, self-doubt, and feeling as though different thoughts are âarguingâ with each other can be mentally exhausting and understandably affect your concentration, mood, and relationships. The fact that youâve noticed these changes and are seeking help is an important and positive first step.
Based on what youâve described, these symptoms could be related to conditions such as anxiety, stress, or other emotional difficulties. However, it would not be appropriate to make a diagnosis based solely on this information. A comprehensive psychological assessment is needed to better understand the underlying cause and identify the most suitable treatment approach.
Next Steps
Schedule a consultation with a qualified psychologist for a detailed psychological assessment. * Share when these symptoms began, whether there were any significant life events or stressors, how often they occur, and how they affect your daily functioning. * Consider beginning evidence-based therapy, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which is effective in managing negative thought patterns, excessive worry, and overthinking. * Maintain a journal of your thoughts, emotions, and situations that trigger them. This can be helpful during therapy. * Continue communicating openly with your girlfriend about your recovery process, while also ensuring that you have additional sources of emotional support.
Health Tips
Try not to interpret every negative thought as a fact. Thoughts are mental events, not necessarily an accurate reflection of reality. * Prioritize adequate sleep, regular physical activity, balanced nutrition, and relaxation techniques, as these can positively influence emotional well-being. * Avoid self-diagnosing based on information found online. A professional assessment will provide a clearer understanding of what youâre experiencing. * If you notice thoughts of self-harm, hopelessness, or feel unable to keep yourself safe, seek immediate help from a trusted family member, your local emergency services, or the nearest emergency department without delay.
