Sertraline mostly doesnt have an effect on sleep however some patients report decreased sleep so It is generally given in mornings after breakfast. If you are on any other medication, check if that is causing the excessive sleepiness. If not maybe your sleep timing is not optimised.

If sedation is a problem, ask your consultant to change to night time. If improvement is present, better to continue the same drug and wait for the sedation to improve over time.
