NT scan normal/ dual marker- down syndro
Hello All, I am 12 weeks 1 day pregnant, on Thursday did my NT scan and double marker tests. Age- 36yrs Hypothyroidism-0.389 NT is 1.6mm Nasal bone- 2.6mm Double marker tests- Free hgc- 101.2 mg PAPP-A- 1355ml Down syndrome- 1:148 high risk I have attached my reports & scan for the reference. My gynaecologist advised for NIPT test to confirm the genetic disorders. Pls suggest what should I do now?

Your screen is positive for trisomy 21 for which NIPT should be done for confirmation as dual marker is a screening test only. Also in USG there is high resistance in uterine arteries which is a risk for developing preeclampsia and related complications in later pregnancy. You should be started on medication for this

Would recommend aminocentesis Nipt is also a screening test though with high sensitivity
