NT Scan normal, double marker test issue
My wife name is Kiruthika. She is 3 month pregnant. Now we did NT scan last week. The report comes normal. The doctor said all is going well. Cervix measured 39mm. Fetal heart rate 163bpm, nasal bone seen, nuchal translucency 1.3 mm, spine, limbs, stomach bubble visualised and normal. But now in the double marker test said trisomy 21+NT value 1:152, screen positive. It is above the cutoff, which indicates an increased risk. Within 1 week the doctor said it was a problem. Terminate better. Finally your decision. Further She is not my relative side. They why they said about that. Any other options is there? What we do? Kindly help me. I attached NT scan report and double marker test result.

As dual marker screen is positive ..do NIPT test for further confirmation . For more confirmative results you can go for amniocentesis if NIPT is also positive.

Trisomy 21 is a different issue altogether. It has nothing to do with NT scan. You may go for NIPT now or you can wait for the Quadruple marker test after 6 weeks and take the next action depending on the report.
