Hello, It is important that we chew our food well so that the digestion of the food takes place well. If the food is not chewed well it can lead to digestive issues and undigested food can cause bloating and indigestion. Only gulping down the food will slow the metabolism. Ensure while eating food your entire focus is on the meal and the food you eat. Avoid distractions or conversations while eating food. A conscious effort made for a few days will develop as a habit over a period of time. You need to keep trying until one day it becomes ingrained in you.

Avoid distractions  while eating. Avoid watching tv, or mobile while having your meals. Keep reminding yourself that it's very important to chew food properly. Make a conscious and consistent effort each time. Practice meditation if you think you are an anxious person. Plan your meals at a given time, where in you are not in hurry.  Just focus on food while eating and imbibe positive thoughts about your meal.

Slowly and gradually you have to develop this habit because not chewing food properly will cause a lot of problem. Like weight gain, indigestion, bloating and most important you won't taste the food how it's tasty. Chewing of food is also important for its proper digestion because when we chew food it mix into saliva and proper digestion could be possible. Hi Ensure that you are having food only on the dinning table without your mobile in hand, not in front of tv, or are not listening to anything while having your food..and not to engage in any kind of activities , no reading books etc..during your intake..as all these causes one to get into trance which inturn leafs to not chewing the morsel well..  in the mouth... Always spare some good amount of time to each meal and one should bear in mind that first part of digestion starts from mouth itself.. which is certainly in our hands only.. So be conscious and prepared about chewing food thoroughly every time you have your meal.. Good luck
Next Steps
if you start flowing these little things slowly but steadily and consistently they will really help you in a great way and in the long run too...and give a good health also..

The only sure shot way is to consciously chew your food. Do this every day for 21 days to make a habit and you would be able to continue. Also, ensure that while eating you're focusing only on the food without any distraction, which means no T.V, no scrolling on the mobile nor speaking with any one. We take approximately 15-20 mins to finish a meal, dedicate these minutes only to yourself and eating food properly.
