You need to do HbA1c.
If there's a family history, then cause is well understood. If no family history, then we need to investigate the cause to eradicate the cause.
For that the tests will be -
Renal function tests
Liver function tests
Lipid profile
Thyroid function tests
For now you can have :
Gymnema sylvester Q 15 drops in quarter cup of water thrice a day
Syzygium Jambolanum Q 15 drops in quarter cup of water thrice a day
