Yes you can add sugar in minimum quantity it will not cause any cough or cold. But it is better to add a little bit of jaggery powder instead of sugar because jaggery has many benefits in cold, cough or other respiratory issues.

Adding a little sugar to milk will not cause cold or cough in your child. These are usually caused by infections or allergies, not by sugar in milk. However, it’s better to keep sugar minimal for overall health. You can safely give milk with a small amount of sugar if your child prefers the taste.

A little sugar once in a while is okay, but it’s best to give plain milk or add a pinch of turmeric to keep the child healthy. Avoid giving sweet milk regularly, so the child doesn’t get cold or cough often.

Any food or dairy are most beneficial when consumed in their natural form. For children, foods that are natural and free from preservatives provide the best nutrition. On the other hand, items high in sugar such as pastries, cold drinks, and artificially colored chocolates should be avoided, as they are known to trigger cough and related health issues in children. So no issue in having a milk with sugar if the other sources of sweets are avoided

Sugar will not cause cold. But try avoiding it as it will become a habit in future. Instead u can mix dates puree or nuts powder to add some flavour to the milk

Adding sugar to milk is not an issue, but always prefer to give milk without sugar. It will be more beneficial.
