With background of long standing Diabetes Mellitus and if your blood sugars are not well controlled over years now, you might be suffering from diabetic peripheral neuropathy whose symptoms include burning and tingling sensation starting from your foot and progressing later with a stocking and glove pattern. Nevertheless, other causes like B12 deficiency/Drug induced causes need to be excluded by history and clinical examination.
Next Steps
You need to get clinically examined with a physician and get the following investigations done: Complete hemogram, S.Creatinine, FBS/PPBS/HBA1C, Urine Analysis, S.B12(if clinical suspicion +), Fundoscopy. Once these are done, appropriate treatment needs to be considered.
Health Tips
Blood sugar management is a crucial component of management along with symptomatic treatment.
