Dear Doctor,
I am 32 years old. In December 2025, my
HbA1c was 7.2%. Since then, I have been strictly following lifestyle modifications, including a controlled diet and regular exercise, without any medications.
I recently started monitoring my blood glucose levels at home with a glucometer, and I am observing a specific pattern:
Postprandial (2 hours after food): My levels are consistently between 112–125 mg/dL.
Fasting (Morning): My levels remain high, ranging between 100–120 mg/dL.
I have completely avoided
sugar and sweets for 1 month. For dinner, I eat early and have replaced rice with wheat, oats, or pulses. Despite these changes, my fasting sugar is not coming down below 100.What specific adjustments should I make to bring my fasting levels below 100?
