Need to get scaling done as I used to smoke. Is polishing or teeth whitening the same and is it recommended ?

Hello, first thing is if you seriously want your teeth to look clean then stop smoking otherwise neither polishinh nor cleaning or whitening will help. they are different procedures. whitening is like bleaching it will make your teeth look brighter. on the other hand polishing is done after cleaning in order to get a polished smooth shining suface.
