Hello, Gaining weight continuously can be due to a lot of reasons. Suggestion is to get checked for any underlying medical condition. -Exercise daily for an hour (Can be at home or simple exercises like running, jogging, brisk walking, on the spot marching, squats, etc) -Include protein in your diet (taking protein rich foods post workout helps in muscle building) -Increase fiber in your diet (Will help you stay full) -Include fruits and vegetables in your diet (2-3 serving) -Water intake of atleast 3L per day -Add healthy fat like nuts to your diet. -Avoid/Exclude fried, sugary and junk food -Eat a balanced and healthy diet -Do not skip breakfast as 40% of days energy is from breakfast NOTE: The above mentioned practices can change according to a specific medical condition.

Hello Ms.Sandhya A lot of things need to considered while designing a plan for losing weight. With the information provided by you, here are some general guidelines: -- You need to increase your fibre intake by incorporating good amount of fruits (whole fruits not juices) and vegetables. -- Also pay attention on your fluid intake in the form of water, buttermilk, thick soups, lime juice etc. Avoid sugar sweetened beverages. -- Very importantly concentrate on practicing portion control -- Avoid very long gaps in meals. -- Remain physically active -- Include nuts (7-8 almonds or 2-3 walnuts) as a part of your daily diet.

Mrs. Sandhya, for your height, and your age, it is healthy to have a weight range of 50-60 kgs. As you had a c-section, it is usually a little harder to get close to the 50kgs mark. But as long as you try and reach to 60 kgs and maintain it there, you will be healthy. As there is about 25 kgs to lose, realistically, with a good diet and physical activity plan you will be able to lose about 2-4 kgs per month. In order to achieve that, you should start off by maintaining a food diary with details of every single meal, snacks and even drinks like tea and coffee that you take including the quantities and timings. Doing this for 10-15 days will help you calculate how much you are eating and where you can cut down. You can have 5-6 small meals and snacks total for the day. Include 2-3 fruits as snacks instead of traditional home made snacks or fried stuff. Start physical activity, even simple walking for at least an hour everyday. This will start off your weight loss journey. If you need a detailed diet plan customized for your needs and your eating habits, please contact me directly.
