How long do you have this pain? Do you have pain while moving your head? It might be due to neck strain. You should give hot water fomentation for 15-20 minutes in pain area. You can use volini gel or spray provided you are not allergic. Avoid prolonged neck bending activities. Avoid using high pillow.
Next Steps
If the pain persist or aggrevates you need to consult a Physiotherapist or Physician or Orthopaedist for complete assessment and treatment either in person or through online call.

Since when you are having this problem. Are you working on laptop, or got any injury or pain started in sleeping. Need proper history for proper diagnosis and treatment. But for now you can apply ice pack three times a day 15 min-20min everyday. Also start doing exercises for neck like neck isometric exercises. Apply volini gel or diclofenac gel if it hurts more. Try to take proper rest. Use only one pillow while sleeping. Avoid lifting heavy weight. Take a break inbetween while working and do stretching.
