Navel disbalance
Is there really something like navel disbalance? Since a month I'm having much gastritis and constipation, feeling low energy and lightheadedness too. I go to gym for 4 months, doing weight lifting training too. Because of this issue i went to homeopathic doctor first, he checked my navel and said it's disbalance. Just want to know if disbalance causes constipation, gas and what do I do further?

Based on current medical evidence, "navel displacement" or "navel imbalance" is not a recognized medical diagnosis. There is no scientific evidence that a displaced navel causes constipation, gastritis, or low energy. Your symptoms of gastritis, constipation, lightheadedness, and low energy for the past month are more likely to be due to other causes, such as: Low fiber or inadequate water intake. Dietary changes after starting gym training. Overtraining or inadequate calorie intake. Gastritis, acid reflux, or other digestive disorders. Stress or anxiety. Less commonly, thyroid disorders, anemia, or other medical conditions. Weight lifting itself does not cause the navel to become displaced, although strenuous exercise can sometimes lead to muscle strain or, rarely, a hernia. A hernia is a different condition and would usually present as a noticeable bulge near the navel.
Next Steps
Since your symptoms have persisted for a month, consult a general physician or gastroenterologist for a proper evaluation. The focus should be on identifying the cause of your constipation, gastritis, and low energy rather than trying to "correct" the navel position. For a detailed evaluation and personalized guidance, you may connect with us at 9 3 1 5 6 6 1 5 6 5. We will assess your digestive symptoms comprehensively and recommend an appropriate management plan.
Health Tips
Drink 2–3 liters of water daily unless you have been advised otherwise. Increase your intake of fiber-rich foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes gradually. Continue regular physical activity, but avoid overtraining and ensure you are eating enough to support your workouts. Limit spicy, oily, alcohol, and highly processed foods if they worsen your gastritis. Avoid straining during bowel movements and maintain a regular toilet routine. The combination of constipation, gastritis, low energy, and lightheadedness deserves a proper medical assessment, but a "disbalanced navel" is not considered an evidence-based explanation for these symptoms. Most people improve once the actual underlying cause is identified and treated. Thank you

I can understand why you're worried. In Ayurveda, we don't consider "navel displacement" as the main diagnosis. Most of the time, symptoms like constipation, gas, acidity and low energy are related to disturbed digestion (Agni) and aggravated Vata rather than the navel itself. Since you've recently started weight training, it's possible that changes in diet, hydration, meal timings, or physical strain have affected your digestion. But your low energy and lightheadedness also need proper attention—they shouldn't be ignored. I would suggest looking for the root cause instead of focusing only on the navel. A few questions about your appetite, bowel habits, sleep, stress, diet and menstrual history will help understand what's actually going on. If needed, I may also advise some basic blood tests to rule out issues like anemia or vitamin deficiencies. Once I understand your complete history, I can suggest an Ayurvedic treatment plan with the right diet, lifestyle changes and medicines according to your body type and current imbalance.
Next Steps
you can book an online consultation. It will be easier to assess your condition properly and guide you with a personalized treatment plan rather than giving a generic prescription here
Health Tips
Drink 2.5–3 L water/day. Take meals on time -avoid skipping meals. Avoid spicy, oily, fried foods, excess tea/coffee and packaged foods for a few days. Increase fibre intake (fruits, vegetables, salads) and include warm fluids. Avoid heavy weight lifting until digestion improves; continue light walking/stretching. Sleep 7 to 8 hours and manage stress. If symptoms persist or you develop severe abdominal pain, vomiting, blood in stools, black stools, persistent dizziness or weight loss, consult a physician immediately. A detailed consultation is advised to identify the root cause and plan individualized Ayurvedic treatment.

“Navel disbalance” or navel displacement is not a standard medical diagnosis, so constipation, gas and low energy should not automatically be attributed to it. Your symptoms can occur with constipation, functional gut disorders, dietary factors or other gastrointestinal causes. There is some emerging research on navel repositioning/visceral manipulation for constipation, but the evidence is still limited and it should not replace evaluation of the actual cause. Since you have had symptoms for a month along with lightheadedness and low energy, I would recommend a proper clinical assessment rather than relying only on navel correction. From an Ayurvedic perspective, your Agni, Kostha, Dosha pattern, diet, exercise and bowel habits can be assessed and treatment individualized accordingly.
