My protein needs
I'm a South Indian vegetarian. An occasional egg eater (1 egg once a week). I cycle to work almost every day (20kms/day) and occasional long rides. I feel I'm NOT getting enough PROTEIN. How do I test this? How to make sure that I get enough protein? Is it okay to have whey protein / other supplements.

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  If you take one egg everyday that would be enough i feel. If you do not feel like eating eggs, you can drink milk and other dairy products to get your proteins. I do not feel there is any need for you to take any supplements. Kindly consult a general physician in person for further evaluation and management. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
