If you have more sedation during day time, lethargicness , you can report to your doctor At higher age, medication dose may be optimised, it means to reduce its dose as per symptoms of excess sedation that give rise to decrease concentration resulting in memory loss

Hello Sir, Since you are taking treatment for the first time in 20 years, feeling a little tired, sleepy, or slightly forgetful in the first few days is very common. It usually settles as your body adjusts to the medicine.
Next Steps
1. Continue the full tablet exactly as your psychiatrist advised. 2. These mild side-effects usually reduce within 1–2 weeks.

There might be some fogginess, but it is suggested that you do not draw conclusions too soon , sometimes there is anxiety related to the medicine. Discuss with your dr asap, can give it some time, if it doesn’t resolve do consult your psychiatrist sos

A little tiredness or mild forgetfulness can happen in the first week of Risperidone and usually gets better. These are not harmful side effects, so you don’t need to worry. Please continue the medicine as advised. If these symptoms increase or don’t improve, follow up with your psychiatrist

Hello, It is not usual to have memory problems with that medications. But it may be a manifestation of other side effects. You can wait for few more days and continue medication. If there are no further issues you can continue further. But if the problems persist or increase, please consult the Psychiatrist and change the medication.
