Hello, Your symptoms- short-term memory difficulties, absent-mindedness, feeling “blank” on waking, and trouble with concentration- are very common after periods of prolonged stress, emotional strain, or unresolved anxiety/depression. This type of cognitive fog is usually functional, meaning it happens due to emotional overload rather than a disease of the brain. The good news is that it is treatable with proper evaluation and support. Herbal medicines alone usually do not address the underlying psychological factors.
Next Steps
1. Reach out for an online or in-person consultation: 📞 NEURONAL FIX CLINIC, RAMPRASTHA COLONY, Ghaziabad, (near Shreshtha Vihar, Delhi)- +91- 74XX52XX97XX67XX61 Conditions like anxiety disorders, depression, burnout, trauma-related stress, and even sleep disturbances can present with memory issues. 2. Get routine screening tests, especially if symptoms are persistent: 1) Thyroid profile 2) Vitamin B12 & Vitamin D 3) CBC Fasting blood sugar These deficiencies can worsen cognitive difficulties. 3. Begin structured treatment, which may include: a. Therapy (CBT, stress-management therapy, trauma-focused therapy if needed) b. Medication if anxiety or depression is significant c. Sleep regulation plan 4. If symptoms suddenly worsen, or if you experience confusion, changes in behavior, severe headaches, or disorientation, seek an in-person evaluation promptly.
Health Tips
- Ensure 7-8 hours of sleep, as poor sleep is one of the biggest contributors to memory loss. - Reduce multitasking; focus on one task at a time. - Practice mindfulness for a few minutes daily. - Avoid alcohol or excessive caffeine.

Hi When you’ve been through prolonged stress, conflict, or emotional strain, the mind often goes into a protective mode where focus, memory, and alertness naturally weaken. What you’re calling “memory loss” is often the result of emotional overload rather than permanent cognitive damage. The blankness after waking, the absent-mindedness, the feeling of not being your old self all of this points to a tired nervous system that needs structured recovery, not herbal supplements. With the right approach, the brain’s sharpness can absolutely return, because emotional healing and cognitive restoration go hand in hand. Therapy works on rebuilding concentration, reducing mental fog, and strengthening memory through cognitive exercises, routine restructuring, and emotional regulation training. You don’t have to live with this confusion or fear of “losing yourself.” With guidance, your mind can regain clarity and stability far more quickly than you think. Take therapy. Herbal remedies alone may not be sufficient. I recommend a clinical assessment to rule out depression, anxiety, trauma-related effects, sleep problems, nutritional or neurological causes. Please seek an in-person / video consultation from a psychiatrist so that you can evaluated further.
