Auditory hallucination. Medicin need?

My mother has been experiencing auditory hallucinations for 20 years. This is the first time she's agreed to see a psychiatrist. She's currently in treatment and has been taking medicine for 3 months. In the first month, she felt gradually tired when taking it. Now she's extremely tired. She's taking Risperidone Plus (likely Risperdal or similar). She can't stay in one place; she'll lie down for two minutes and then get up again, says her legs are vibrating. Her lips are drying out. She's very tired. When we tell the doctor, they say it's because of the medicine. But why hasn't the medicine adjusted to her body even after three months? The doctor says if we reduce the dose, the hallucinations might slowly start coming back. So, they suggested trying Pakin 2mg . But mom is scared because she's already tired from this one and says she can't do anything. Next appointment is this coming Sunday. Mom says she can adjust until then. I'm very scared😔. will it cure? or life long medicin need?
