Lump in underarm could be anything like lymph node, cysts, lipoma etc and in your question you didn’t give proper details about swelling
Next Steps
It needs further evaluation with proper examination and if needed further investigations like fnac or biopsy or excision needed depends on the nature of swelling.
Visit a surgeon as soon as possible and without any description of swelling or images online consultation will not give accurate diagnosis
Health Tips
Avoid pressing or knick the swelling and avoid wearing tight clothes.

Please consult a gen surgeon physically for clinical evaluation. Could be a cyst, enlarged lymph node, abscess, , benign tumor, cancerous. Clinical evaluation and fnac will help determine nature of swelling and complete cure.
A lump in the underarm could be due to lymph nodes, cyst or simply a swelling resulting from blocked sweat glands. Its unlikely related to Cancer. However ,any swelling should be examined by an surgeon to determine the cause.
I understand your concern, and please reassure her that an underarm lump does not necessarily mean cancer. It can occur due to swollen lymph nodes, infection, or a cyst. However, since she has a family history of cancer, she should consult a doctor for a clinical examination. Depending on the findings, an ultrasound of the underarm and breast may be advised. Please encourage her not to panic or ignore the lump. Early evaluation will help identify the cause and provide appropriate treatment. Most importantly, support her emotionally and reassure her that she does not have to face this fear alone.

Hello,
I understand your concern, particularly because of your family history of cancer.
Firstly, most underarm lumps in young women are benign (non-cancerous). At 19 years of age, breast cancer is extremely uncommon.
Possible causes include:
Reactive lymph nodes due to minor infections or skin inflammation, including eczema.
Epidermoid cysts or blocked skin glands.
Folliculitis caused by shaving or friction.
Hidradenitis suppurativa, particularly if similar lumps repeatedly develop in the underarms.
However, the absence of pain does not confirm that a lump is harmless, and its exact cause cannot be established without examination.
Having an aunt with cancer does not automatically mean that this lump is cancerous.
Next Steps
Consult a general physician within 1â2 weeks for examination of the underarm and breasts. An ultrasound of the axilla (underarm) may be recommended to determine whether the lump represents a lymph node, cyst, or another condition. Further investigations, including biopsy, are only necessary if examination or imaging findings are suspicious. Inform your doctor about the family history, particularly which type of cancer your aunt had and her age at diagnosis. Avoid repeatedly pressing, squeezing, or massaging the lump.
Health Tips
Avoid shaving over the affected area and minimise friction until the lump has been assessed. Seek medical attention if the lump grows rapidly, becomes hard or fixed, or is accompanied by breast changes, persistent fever, unexplained weight loss, or night sweats. My recommendation: At her age, a benign cause is considerably more likely than breast cancer. Nevertheless, a persistent or unexplained underarm lump should be examined rather than ignored. An examination and, if necessary, ultrasound can provide clarity without assuming the worst. Please reassure her that seeking medical attention is a sensible precaution, not a reason to panic. Wishing her good health!
Any lump in underarm’s area of females needs to be investigated with some basic investigations
Every lump is not a cancer and need not to be stressed at this point of time.
It will be good for the patient to get consulted with general surgeon and get through some clinical examination and some basic investigations as advisable by general surgeon.
A new lump under the arm in someone your age is very rarely breast cancer. Breast cancer before 25 is uncommon, and most lumps at this age turn out to be a swollen lymph node or a benign breast lump. But a new lump still needs an actual exam rather than guessing from how it feels.
Next Steps
See a gynaecologist or general physician for a clinical breast exam. If needed, an ultrasound is the right first scan at your age, not a mammogram.
Health Tips
Get it checked sooner if the lump grows quickly, becomes painful, or you notice skin changes or discharge.
