You need a regular manual therapy treatment followed by electro/exercise therapy sessions. Go for a clinical examination, at least an online consultation through practo just to know the impact. At times few basic manual therapy self treatment techniques will reduce your pain status.
Next Steps
Consult a musculoskeletal / Manual physiotherapist for perfect solutions
Health Tips
1. Ice pack with gentle massage for 5-10 minutes around the pain area. 2.Avoid continuous sitting. 3.External support like belt can be used only if it supports else no need. The above measures will just prevent your problems getting worse, if it reduces your symptoms it's an advantage.

Hello dear If your complaints are only limited to one side of lower back and doesn't radiate to legs or knees, then even if the mri report says a prolapsed disc, it's immaterial. To your surprise that disc might be lying there for months or years and is not the cause of your pain per se. But you still have pain and we need to treat that. So i need answers to a few more questions here so as to find the cause of pain: 1. How long has the pain been there and how did it start? 2. Is forward bending much painful? 3. Whats the status of pain while lying down, sitting and walking? 4. Does the pain ever awake you from sleep at night? 5. Do you get back stiffness in the morning and if yes how long does it last? 6. Do you have any urinary or bowel complaints? 7. Is there pain in any other joints of the body? 8. Do you have any neck pain? 9. DO you have any medical illness and any medicines you are on? For the time being i can only say that your pain might be due to a number of reasons and the cause could lie in your back muscles, SI joints or even your hip muscles. Get back to me with the complete history. Regards Dr Vipin Gupta
