Hi everyone, I'm posting on behalf of my sister. She recently got her full body blood test done, and I'd appreciate a thorough review of her reports.
The main concerns are:
- Vitamin D: 16 (deficient)
- Vitamin B12: 209 (low)
- HDL: 34 (significantly low)
- Absolute Neutrophil Count: 1.73 (slightly low)
- RDW: 15 and MCH: 32.4 (slightly elevated)
- Chloride: 109 (slightly elevated)
Could you please help identify possible underlying causes, whether any of these findings are concerning, and what further tests, treatment or dietary changes would be recommended?

Health Tips
Alter diet habits
Use protein rich high fiber food
Avoid junk food beverages
Stop smoking alcohol habits if any
Your vitamin D and B12 are both low, and your HDL sits below the usual healthy range too. These three usually go together from diet and lifestyle gaps, not three separate problems. The small changes in your neutrophil count, RDW and MCH most likely reflect the same vitamin shortfall. Your chloride is only mildly raised and doesn't usually need separate testing.
Next Steps
A vitamin D and B12 supplement, along with more protein, nuts, seeds and oily fish for your HDL, usually helps all three move in the right direction over two to three months. Please see a physician to confirm the right supplement strength for you and recheck these levels after that time.
Health Tips
Get it reviewed sooner if you develop numbness, tingling, or unusual fatigue that's getting worse, since that can point to the B12 deficiency progressing.
