Thank you for sharing your concern. A Vitamin D level of 18 ng/ml is considered low, and itâs good that you're looking into supplementation. Many people face similar deficiencies due to limited sun exposure or diet, and supplements are often used to help correct it.
That said, the **type, dose, and duration** of any supplementâincluding Carbamide Forteâshould be tailored to your specific needs and health status. Long-term or weekly use of any supplement should ideally be done under medical supervision to ensure it's both **safe and effective**.
ð Iâd recommend you consult me directly for a proper review of your test results and personal health profile so we can plan the safest and most effective approach for your Vitamin D levels:

Hello
As you are in young age
Try tk avoid supplimets
Do some dietay modifications
Such as 20 mins walk in sunlight , a glass of milk twice a day , paneer based food like that
Recheck your calcium levels after 3 months time
If still on lower side then start taking suppliments
Thank you

Interpretation:
Normal Vitamin D level: >30 ng/ml
Your level (18 ng/ml) = Deficiency
✅ Is it safe for lifelong use?
Yes, but only in maintenance dose.
Long-term high weekly dose is not advised (may lead to toxicity if >100 ng/ml).
☀️ Additional Tips:
Sunlight: 20–30 mins daily (before 10 AM or after 4 PM).
Diet: Include egg yolk, fish, dairy, fortified milk/cereal.
Calcium: Ensure adequate calcium intake (through food or 500–1000 mg supplement/day if needed).
Next Steps
💊 Treatment (as per guidelines):
Corrective Phase:
Take Cholecalciferol 60,000 IU once a week for 6 to 8 weeks
Carbamide Forte is fine (if it's cholecalciferol D3 60,000 IU)
Maintenance Phase (after 6–8 weeks):
Shift to 60,000 IU once every 15 days or monthly
Or take daily low-dose (1,000–2,000 IU/day)
Retest:
Check Vitamin D levels again after 8–10 weeks to adjust maintenance dose.

Take it once a week dissolved in milk, along with supplement it with Calcium supplements also, as without it it is of no use. Take for 1 month recheck it after 1 month.
