Low vitamin d and b12
I got my test done and my vitamin d level was 5.58 whereas b12 levels were 132 !!! I am completely clueless how do I proceed further... I won't be able to take injections because of side effects and high pain reasons and since I am already weak is it possible with supplements??? If yes then what supplements should I take??

Hello, you can definitely start with supplements. 1. D3 60,000 IU once a week for 8-10 weeks 2. Neurobion or similar B12 supplements 1 tab once daily for 2 months. To be taken preferably after a meal. We can recheck the symptoms after 2 months and then reduce the doses.

Your reports show severe deficiencies: • Vitamin D: 5.58 ng/mL → severe deficiency • Vitamin B12: 132 pg/mL → definite deficiency Yes — these levels alone can explain weakness, fatigue, body pain, brain fog, dizziness, low mood, and low stamina. And yes, it is absolutely possible to correct both deficiencies with oral supplements if injections are not an option for you. Injections are faster, but not mandatory. Given that you’re already feeling weak, starting treatment immediately with oral therapy is important.
Next Steps
1. Vitamin D (oral only — no injection needed) • Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) 60,000 IU • Once weekly for 8 weeks • After that: 60,000 IU once monthly (maintenance) • Take it after a fatty meal (milk, curd, nuts, or ghee-based food) 2. Vitamin B12 (oral, high-dose therapy) Choose one of the following daily options: • Methylcobalamin 1500–2000 mcg orally once daily • OR a combo capsule with Methylcobalamin + B6 + Folate Take this daily for at least 8–12 weeks, then recheck levels. Oral methylcobalamin is safe, effective, and well tolerated, even in people who cannot take injections. 3. Recheck tests • Repeat Vitamin D and B12 after 8–10 weeks • Expect symptoms to improve gradually over 2–4 weeks
Health Tips
• Early improvement = energy, clarity, less body pain • Full recovery may take 6–10 weeks • Avoid skipping doses — consistency matters more than strength • Mild initial fatigue or headache can occur but usually settles in a few days • Get 10–15 minutes of sunlight daily if possible ⚠️ Seek urgent help if you develop: • Numbness/tingling worsening • Balance issues • Palpitations or breathlessness Your deficiencies are treatable and reversible, and injections are not compulsory in your case. To decide exact doses, brands, and duration tailored to your weight, symptoms, and diet, I strongly recommend booking an online consultation with me — it will help you recover faster and safely without unnecessary anxiety.

Supplements will really help you in this stage. Take a supplement for both Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 and I ll mention the doses at the end. But these levels also suggest that there might other deficiencies in your body too. Try to stick to a balanced and nutritious diet to help you for weakness and deficiencies. Coming to supplements - Vitamin D3 - Dose 60,000IU, once a week for 12 weeks(as it is very low) Vitamin B12 - Methylcobalamin 1500mcg on alternate days for 2 weeks( alternate because it causes constipation)
Next Steps
Go for a Balanced meal, Check for other deficiencies like iron and calcium
Health Tips
Methylcobalamin 1500mcg is likely to cause constipation.

Actually your vitamin d levels and vit B12 levels are far low from age recommended levels . You need to consider symptoms especially for like anemia , if you are experiencing them better take capsule uprise for vit d and for b12 levels you can take injections if possible , as you said it is painful ., you can consider b12 rich foods like yogurt, cheese, along with Tab. Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg once per day
Next Steps
But get hemoglobin levels checked and further complete blood picture also
Health Tips
Better to get full workup done before self administering medications

I wonder why you specifically tested for these two vitamins. Having such low values, I would suggest you get some other basic blood tests done as well. Like Complete Blood Counts, Peripheral  Blood Smear examination, Fasting Lipid Profile, Liver function tests, Thyroid function tests, etc. to assess for other deficiencies, organ functions. I would also like to know any symptoms of diffuculties you experience, to get a bigger picture and identify the cause of such deficiencies.
Next Steps
It would be prudent for you to consult a doctor for a thorough assessment and supplements or medications as and if needed .
Health Tips
Never resort to taking supplements of any kind without the guidance of a doctor.

You have severe vit B12 and vit D deficiency which need to be corrected and for oral supplementation the absorption is very difficult so i will recommend you to take iv correction rather than intramuscular so that pain wont be an issue. And then later can shift you to oral supplements
Next Steps
Please take a detail consult for the regime to follow
Health Tips
With iv correction your symptoms are going to improve rapidly on the other hand oral supplements may take months to improve

Aapke reports mein severe vitamin D deficiency (5.5) aur low B12 (132) dikh raha hai — isi wajah se weakness, fatigue, hair fall, body pain, low mood jaise symptoms aate hain. Good news: injections mandatory nahi hote, tablets se bhi correct ho sakta hai (bas duration thoda lamba hota hai). Vitamin D: Cholecalciferol 60,000 IU (Arachitol Nano) weekly × 8 weeks, phir monthly maintenance Sun exposure 15–20 min late morning helpful Vitamin B12: Methylcobalamin tablets ( Tab Neurobion) daily 6–8 weeks Agar numbness/tingling ho to duration badhaya jata hai Diet add karein: milk, curd, paneer, eggs (ya fortified foods if vegetarian) 8–10 weeks baad repeat test karein — usually levels normal ho jate hain. Agar severe dizziness, palpitations, walking imbalance ya persistent vomiting ho to review karein. Aap tablets se safely recover kar sakti hain
